This is the story of Jess, a bubbly offbeat teacher who is known to burst into spontaneous song, who catches her boyfriend with another woman and needs a new place to live. She moves into a loft with three single guys she's never met before. Can this dysfunctional group handle the "adorkable" new girl?

Apparently so because the series ran for seven seasons. I had the privilege of being on the show from the pilot through the entire series. My responsibilities for the show included art direction, set design and graphic design. I moved into the production designer position when necessary maintaining our look and feel and consistency. We shot the show mainly on the Fox lot with the need to go on location decreasing over the years. We built a street section on the lot to match our hero loft location in downtown Los Angeles and added our café needs in front of our stage doors. The show was challenging as it moved fast and had several new builds or set alterations every episode. I enjoyed the activity and level of creativity this show required.
